Lost job 3 months after getting GC

Hi guys,

I lost my job 3 months after getting my GC as my sponsoring employer, who runs an IT consulting company ran out of projects. If I don't get a job for the next 6 months or so...will it create any problems for me when I apply for citizenship? In other words is it MANDATORY for a GC holder to be employed for the next 5 years till he applies for citizenship?
Would appreciate your help.
Thanks

First, tell me, are you worried if you leave job after GC on your own?? If answer is YES, then you should be concerned about above situation as well. This so called intent is applicable to employee and employers as well.

Personally me, I won't bother anything in both situations. But choice is yours, do you want to enjoy freedom given by GC or want to live in fear for lifelong with suggestion from bunch of morons???!!!

Do you really have to use expletives to make a point? Your suggestions are good and I have personally benefitted from a few of them, but then others can/will have different opinions.

Now please do not hit back at me, it was just a thought that I felt like penning down.

OK, I scale it down . In the past, certain members were not only giving some wild suggestions but backing it up with abuse to other members with no reason other than inducing fears to members. Thats why many members(including me) started using strong language againest such hypocrisy.

I've been reading postings on this forum for the last 2 years now and honestly, so far I've gained most from your posts.

Using/reading expletives makes me uneasy, but then I can relate to there use in this context, if not justify.

A sincere request without being patronizing; perhaps if you introspect a little, then you may reflect better on the underlying cause(s).

Genuine thanks to all of you for helping us lesser mortals with your enthusiastic and knowledgeable suggestions. This forum is truly a wealth of resource and frankly, my husband and I would not have been able to complete our GC journey in absence of the constant support and information that we received here.

He is still wrong, regardless of how many expletives he is using.
