Re-entry permit changes on uscis.gov.

Hi all,

Today, I am seeing some changes and new additions in re-entry permit page on
http://uscis.gov/graphics/services/E...ex.htm#Reentry page

I don't clearly understand the meaning of the following.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please note that a re-entry permit does not guarantee admission into the U.S. Aliens with re-entry permits are still subject to the inspection process at the port of entry. It is also important to note that travel outside of the U.S for more than one year will under most circumstances break the continuous residence requirement for later naturalization purposes. Travel for over 6 months may break the continuous residence requirement. See Section 316 (b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also,

Where exactly, I have to send an application for Re-entry permit?

Pl. help.

Thanks,

Only US citizens are "guaranteed" entry into the country. The statement from USCIS just reiterates that fact. Any stay abroad over 1 year breaks the 5 year continuous residency requirement for citizenship.
Check the USCIS website, I think the application needs to be mailed to Lincoln, NE.

1. If I go on Re-entry permit, do I have come once in 6 months?
2. If I stay outside USA for more than one year and then come back and stay streight 5 years here in USA, will I be eligible to apply for citizenship?
