Pending I-485 (Newark office)

Please!!!
My case is a touchy one, I got married in October of 2000, I was called for Ajustment Interview in May of 2001, My wife passed away in March of 2001.
INS denied my petition because my wife passed away. I re-married in June of 2002, I filled my I-130 at the Vermont Service center, I got the approval in May of 2003, With the approval I now filled the I- 485 in NEWARK. They called me for Interview in October of 2003, the officer was not satisfied, she told me I will get a letter to come back after 120 days which I did, the 120 days came in February of 2004, I went for another ajustment of status Interview, She was satisfied this time, but she said they would get back to us with their decision..... ever since then I have not heard from them, I have called the customer service line numerous times and they keep doing a status check and I never get any letter from them, it's been 1 year now since my last interview, although they keep renewing my EAD at the National benefits Center. My marriage will be 3 years in June of 2005 and no green card yet.
People tell me not to go there, it will look like I am desperate, I should keep waiting....... Please is there anyone with similar situations at the Newark,NJ office ??

Thank you for contributing

I just made an appointment through info-pass for March, I will be going there with my wife, my lawyer told me to give him the feed-back on how I went.
If I really needed to get in touch with a senator, How would I do that?

here you go:

http://www.senate.gov/general/contac...nators_cfm.cfm

since you don’t know his/her name – look by a state you live in and follow the link to the contact info.

Thank you all

I want to make the senator the last resort, I called the customer service and they even told me to go to the office and ask an immigration officer about my status. All the status checks I have done, I never got a reply from Newark, I have not moved since I filled my papers. A friend of mine who filled to remove the conditions on his green card never got the renewal until he went to the Newark office to ask and they told him that his case has been approved and mailed but he never got a reply from them. I am very confident that I will be given the green card when I go to the office, I will make sure I share my experience...
My two friends who responded to my thread with the senator details, I want to specially thank you for helping, God bless you...
Just a little reminder, my I-130 has been approved since May 2003..

Tuesday March 8, 2005

Hello,
I am going to the Newark office with my wife on Tuesday to ask about my case, I will report back my experience. We actually need to travel to see my parents in May and I have waited so long. I am going to state my case. After reading a lot of posts, I tend to think my delay might be associated with the FBI check, because my EAD was renewed last year and I have another one pending this year, which will be approved this month, because they are close to my reciept number at the national benefit center (MSC) in Missiouri.

New information

I have a friend that had the same situation as mine, the only difference is that he was called for an I-130, interview today and the officer was real nice, he told him that the staff has changed and he does not know why they had his application pending but he called them in and asked less than 10 questions. He told him he will get a letter in a couple of weeks after his FBI check comes clean, he will then get a 10 year card...
God news, I will get back to you guys tommorow...wish me luck

Newark Experience today 3/8/05

Hello Everyone,
I got to Newark today and noticed a lot of things have changed, anyway when I asked about my case the lady told me it was still pending and I need to get an updated finger-prints, the one on file is too old. She told me to make another appointment after the finger-print in a month and come back to talk to an officer... I did the finger-prints right away but I cannot get any appointments on info-pass....I just wanted to update you guys, please feel free to drop your comments..
