Can I file I-824 to apply for GC for my wife ?

Can I file I-824 to apply for GC for my wife ? I just got the plastic green card in the mail (my Employment based I-485 was approved a month ago).

We got married in August 2003, while I was in the adjustment of status phase, and she left the country after that and stayed out until now. Since mu green card got approved, I am wondering if I can file an I-824 requesting consular processing for her (she is out of the country now). I was told that since I am a perm resident and we got married before I got my permanent residency, we can do it. Is this true ?

Is there an issue if we were separated physically for about 18 months. I did go to visit her during my vacations but can somebody think that that's an issue ? Can they revoke my GC if they think that's an issue ?
