URGENT: Spouse visa/green card

My friend is in the last stages of I-485. He might get the AOS approval any day now.

He is planning to get married to a girl in India in a couple of weeks.

The question is:

1. Is Consular Processing a good option?

2. If he goes for Consular Processing for his wife, then do the application papers need to be filed BEFORE the AOS approval date? Or is it enough if the marriage registration takes place before the AOS approval, and the consular processing papers can be filed any time later even if his AOS gets approved?

3. Is Consular Processing better than concurrent AOS filing? But for this she has to get a H4 visa.

4. If he goes for Consular Processing, is there some lawyer in India he can go thru to avoid complications? Or is it a simple process? Where can he find the details on how to apply for consular Processing?

Ask your friend to register the marriage before the I-485 is approved, that is to be done asap.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to get married before it is approved.
