What's lost?
The card or the status?
I assume status. Need another GC.

Can you please be more specific and explain what do you mean by "I recently lost my card"? Did you lose you permanent resident status by maybe being out of the country for a long time or you physically lost the plastic card?

1. My guess is you could go ahead and apply for citizenship based on your status.
2. I also think you ought to file a police report for the lost card, and apply for a replacement card at the same time.

I do not think (1) needs to wait pending the approval of (2).

Why should it not. It's the status that's more imp. Not the card.
