EAD or H1-B?

I have read many posts about openning a business, but I'm still confuse.
I think **** has answered almost all of them, and H1-B is nearly impossible to open a business, but EAD will work.

Here're my questions:
1) How does EAD work? What's the process in applying and the requirements?
2) Which is better, EAD or H1-B? Advantage and disadvantage?
3) If you are having H1-B with your company, and you want to earn some extra cash from openning a business, you will need EAD, but the H1-B will not be valid anymore, so can you still apply for Green Card? Do you need to notify your company that you are no longer using H1-B?
4) If either EAD or H1-B requires you to work in the same graduate field, you will be under certain kind of management, how does that work?
5) For **** if you are reading this. (99.9% you will) Do you recommand people who wants to open business to apply for EAD and give up the H1-B?

Thank you very much!

So, is it most likely not legally possbile to open a DBA business for side job or project?
Or open a business and invest money, but hire another one for the president.
When the company makes profit, you are earning from the share?

Thanks a lot!
