Ownership of Small Business
I currently work for a small company on a h1-b. There is still some time left in my h1-b as I have only been here a couple of years. Right now there is a possibility of purchasing a stake in the business via a management buy out. Should I do it? Would it affect my status? I am thinking if I went into the venture and became one of the owners, I might be able to influence the decision to sponsor myself for a GC. Would there be any complications going abt it that way? Any advice you guys can give would be very helpful. Thanks so much.
