New H1- B receipt

Hello Everyone,

A NJ based employer has purportedly filed for a new H1-B for me in 3 rd week of June 04. He says that he has still not got the INS receipt for sending my application to INS.

Is this true with other people too ? Are h1-B application receipts being mailed out very slowly ? It would help me to know if my would be employee has really filed for my H1-B petition?

Yes, VSC is sometimes slow to issue Receipt Notices.

Since it was filed in the 3rd Week of June, just wait for another 10 days atleast.

There is no direct way for you to know if he has really filed or not until and unless you receive the Receipt Notice.

If you have friends in the finance department,you could request a bank-copy of the front and back of the check that was issued for the filing fee and cashed by the USCIS. The Receipt Number will be on the back side. Through status check with this number on the USCIS website,you would know when exactly it was filed and its status.

Hi,

I also have a similiar case.My consultants have told me that my papers have been submitted in the 1st week of june. I have still to receive my EAC receipt number.

My Questions are :
1)Has there been a genuine delay in giving receipt number.?
2)How many more days will be required to get my EAC number?
