Starting consulting company on H1 with a friend having EAd
HI Joe,
Please advice me for the following situation. I am thinking to start a consulting business with my friend who has EAD. I am currently on H1B and actively working for my company and planning to continue working through my current company only. All I want to know is , that if I open such consulting company can I legally get the profit coming from that company [I am not going to work for this company and also not expecting to have my GC through this company though]. What are the possibilities for opening such a consulting company for a person on H1B. Also wanted to know which kind of company (i guess LLCs but not sure) can I start with my friend , if it is legal. If it is not possible for me to have partnership with my friend to open such a company (being on H1B) , what are the options I have . Thanks in advance. witty
