how to qualify for advanced parole (I-131)
My father's I-130 petition has been approved and it is now being processed at national visa center. I am interested to apply adjustment of status and advanced parole I-131 to be able to enter USA after short vacation in my home country.
I am a H1B visa holder. In 2001, I applied for H1B visa revalidation and it was approved. Since the visa stamp was valid only for 1 year, I have to do revalidation every year. My 2nd visa revalidation in 2002 was rejected since the 9/11 regulation was in effect. Today, the date in the visa stamp in passport already expired more than 1 year. I'd like to know how to qualify for I-131. What proof should I show? Does reasons such as "vacation or visiting friends overseas" qualify? Thanks for your suggestions! PC
