h1-b and 1099, help please
hello
i am on an H1 right now. before this i was on OPT. while on OPT i worked for a friend. my friend could not pay me at the time so he offered to pay me later. now i had recieved my h1 with another company and started work. my friend started making payments and 1099'd me for it. will this cause a problem with INS when i apply for my green card. the amount is almost $25,000 so i am a little concerned. please advice. thanks
