Ap

Hi,
I have my H1-B valid till Feb 2005. My husband is going to use his EAD. My lawyer says I also need to apply for AP then only my husband will get it and it is safe. Do I need to apply for AP even if I am planning not to use EAD? Also my i-140 is approved so can I get my 7th year extn?

Thank You.

Assuming that you are primary, you dont need to apply for AP or EAD. Lawyer is just looking for more business.
Do you also know that you can apply EAD/AP by yourselves?

Thanks a lot. I did not know that. That would save me 300 bucks. Is there any originals needed for this? what is the procedure?
