Any options when a L-1B expires?

Hello Joe,

Thank you very much for helping people out

I have a question regarding L-1B expiration and can’t find a forum to put it, so here I am to see if you could help.

My husband is currently on L-1B status, and this year 2004 is his maximum year of 5 for holding it. The company he has been working for has filled his Labor Certification Processing one year ago at the Federal Level (as RIR case with Dallas Regional Office).

Now, what are the options he has when his L-1B expires?

Thank you again,
Tracey

Hello Joe,

Thank you for your information.

Knowing that L1 can not be extended even with the LC pending for sometime, is so painful to both of us: my husband will have to deal with the HOT H1 Quota issues, and while myself, soon will say good bye to my EAD, and I need it indeed.

My husband has asked a HR-Immigration Specialist with the company several times regarding the options, got nothing firmed but confused.

It is time for us to put our plan B into our in-trays and review it seriously.

Thank you again for preventing us being such a situation of knowing a bad news late

Best Regards,
Tracey
