Starting Company on Interim EAD
I have filed my I140 & 485 in Jan'2004 and i have recieved my interim EAD. I have also obtained SSN for my wife ( who is currently on H4 Visa).
I have a question. Can my wife start a LLC/Incorporation and start doing business with the Interim EAD she had obtained. If this is not possible,How long should we wait before she uses her EAD for something like this. Roger

Joe,
Thanks for your reply. I have my H1b visa until 2007.I have recieved my interim EAD but the I140 and I 485 petitions are still pending and i believe it would take another 12 months for I140 to clear. Under this case, If I starts using her EAD for starting a company and down the lane if the I140 gets rejected, then would she/I become out of status. What is the normal/guggested trend that people start using interim EAD for business purpose. Please suggest Roger
