Working from India for a US based client
Hi,
This is slightly off topic. This is about starting business in india for US based clients. I am in india and i have more than 2 projects i can work on from off shore. I may have to visit my clients for short duration but for the most part, i should be able to work from india.I worked in US on H1 but now i dont have any US Visa. What is involved in this? Can US company (client) give work to my indian company directly or i need to be registered US company to accept work? In case, i dont need to be registered, what happens to 1099 (tax) etc. Can I register us company even if I Am not in US or dont have visa? If nothing works, i can contact some of the existing companies who work in outsourcing and use their legal status. This will cut into my profit but then not much i can do about it. Thanks in advance.
