N-400 travel history?
I've not maintained very good records and I've been to countries where my passport is not stamped. Just exactly how does the INS verify the travel history I put on the N-400 application?

How long have they been able to get the manifests?

I was under the impression that prior to 9/11 they didn't know when you have exited the country since everytime you returned they asked you "How long were you out?"

I've been reading that prior to the 2002 changes. Airlines only captured this information for I-94 holders and not PRs is that true?

What is the likelihood that they captured this information for PRs in 2001 and send it to the INS then?

Northwest the airline I flew claims that they have only been particpating in APIS during the last year only. I specifically asked them they had been voluntarily sending this information thru and they told me no.
