Adoption by gc holders

Hi,
I went to the 'Internatioanl Adoptions' forum but there were no posts there so I figured nobody goes there.
Me and my husband are green card holders over here (Indian citizens) and would like to adopt a baby from India.
My question : what do I need to do legally to get the baby here? I mean what visa will the baby have once adoption is complete? Will he/she automatically get a gc cause we are both gc holders and residing here? how long will it take before the baby is allowed into the country?
will the baby have to wait for 3 yrs before coming here like the spouses/children of gc holders have to do these days?

Please, if anybody has adopted a kid from India or know of someone who has done so, as a gc holder not citizen, then please give me some information.

That is so disheartening... But many thanks for the info. I guess I will have to wait for 3 yrs before I can adopt a kid. Thanks again.
