Quiting employer

Hello Every one, I need your advice.

I am quiting my sponcering employer after working 5 years with them. Got approved in may'2003, Is it ok to join new company form nov1st.

What are possible remification,

I will realy appriciate your respone.

there is no definite duration but per various attorneys suggestion it is better if the person works atleast for 6 months to 1 year after getting green card to avoid problem from the employer or any other problem in your green card renewal or citizenship interview time.

there are some exceptions like if your employer is not paying your properly, not finding you any job or if you have to quit him due to the reason beyond your control etc. it shouldnt be a problem if your employer gives you a release letter stating that the termination or layoff or even if you quit is beyond your control etc. sometimes you can show family or health related reasons also.
