help AOS pp stamping question

I'm trying to find out something; I was approved for my AOS on october 2, 2003 ( filed jan. 2002 - FP sep 2002 - Interview dec. 2002 ); I found out just because I contacted a senator's office who on oct 2 sent me by fax a copy of the approval letter.
Up to this date I HAVEN'T received the original approval letter by mail from BCIS office.
My question is : is the fax of the approval letter from senator's office good enough to get my passport stamped??
It is pretty clear and you can see the stamped approved and everything...
did anybody have a similar experience??
thank you all!!!

I would say that you take the fax copy and your passport copy to the Local BCIS office and have them look up the system and stamp your passport. You could also be able to change your address on file incase they have the wrong one.

good luck and congratulations.

stupe72,
the biggest problem in your case is that you just dont want to waste your precious time by going to the Arlington Office.

And by the way now that you have the faxed copy, you dont even have to wait in the line...

Just go to ARLINGTON and get your thing done....

goodluck

everybody's time is precious and if you work and have small children to take care of time is even more precious!
I was just trying to find out if anybody knew the answer to my questions; when I check th board I don't judge people for the questions they ask, I simply give them an answer if I have one!
I am not "too good" to go to the arlington office is just that I can't keep losing hours at work, therefore I'm trying to go there once for all.

stupe72.
Like you said, time is precious for everyone. Its just that your msgs indicate that the GC is important to you but you dont want to waste time (and yes all of us have jobs with kids) by standing in line in Arlington...

goodluck

I think I was not clear, GC is essential for me like for everybody else here but it's just not always that easy to find time to do that; I feel that if I could save money or time to anybody in the forum I would be more than happy to do it..I'm just asking for advice that's all..
