New York City, MSC I-485

I filed everything with the NYC office, yet every Notice of Action I have received so far came from MSC.


7/14 filed I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-864, G-325
7/14 received yellow receipt acknowledging payment
9/12 Notice of Action I-765
9/16 FP for I-765
10/04 I-765 approved
10/11 Notice of Action for I-485, I-131, I-864
10/15 FP scheduled for I-485

Does anybody have know how long it takes to get an interview in NYC after 2nd FP?

Do they stamp the Passport after the interview is concluded?

when did you file, this year? i find that extremely fast that you receive finger print notice for 1-485 already.

most of us waited for a year or two on that. i receive everything from new york, most recently 1-765. but they did say they are moving all files over to msc.

I filed everything this year with NYC office.
I went for 2FP today in Newark, NJ which is an excellant way to get around long waiting times in the New York.

October 4, 2003 EAD approved
October 15, 2003 (today) 2FP for I-485
October 15, 2003 received EAD in mail

waiting for AP, interview & approval

I would not call it fast. My wife applied for EU work permit, everything took less than 2 months with 5 years validity.

Did you file I-693 at the same time with I-485?

I did not. I 693 is however required when you go for interview and I am still waiting for a date.
