Can I travel abroad while my citizenship application is being processed?

Yes, you can. However, not more than 6 month. At the interview, the BCIS officer will ask you if you have been outside of the US since you have filed the N-400 application. In the case the applicant has been outside of the US, the travel dates are added to the N-400 application.
