Thread: Processing Speed at CSC (based on Kashmir's analyses)

    Processing Speed at CSC (based on Kashmir's analyses)

    Just tallying the numbers from Kashmir's analyses, the speed of 485 processing in CSC seems to be in excess of 20 cases per working day.

    on 5/16 ---> 3493 approvals
    on 5/22 ---> 3574 approvals
    # of working days = 4, cases approved = 81
    Therefore, the speed is ATLEAST 20 cases per day.

    If we assume that there is a lag in the AVM updates, the processing speed might be even greater.

    Am I missing something or does this number make any sense???

    Maybe true but we dont see it being reflected in this forum . Anybody can answer this? Or is this forum a limited set of a huge pool.

    20 approvals a day and we see hardly one approval a day, that's OK. In past also we have seen almost 5% of total approvals by CSC on this board.

    So far in May we have seen 14 approvals in 14 working days and as per kashmir's Data it is 20 approvals per day by CSC.

    This forum is just a sample of data.

    PCee maintains a spreadsheet of approvals listed on this board. Here is a graphic presentation of that data for the last year.

    Well, it looks likely that this CSC forum isn't updated (with people who have got their approvals) as much as the VSC forum is.

    To fellow brethen, I'd say, don't get disheartened by the lack of approval threads, but with the recent rate of approval and positive vibes coming from NSCS/CSC (16 months, additional officers, not spending time on fingerprinting until 9 months), I think that CSC should improve....just like VSC did after months of inactivity. And the fact that CSC processes lesser # of cases than VSC will also work in our favor...

    With that encouraging note, I wish everyone a great long weekend!!!

    Update on earlier analysis

    Today's # reported by Kashmir is 3644, yesterday's was 3574...

    THEREFORE, if one assumes that Kashmir's analysis is relatively error-free, then there is indeed significant positive activity at CSC...

    Is it possible to determine where the activity is, I mean in which WAC series.. Let me try , If somebody has done it already let me know

  8. #8
    to isolate where the activity is, you can compare the .csv files from Kashmir's post...my observation was that it is still stuck in November, 2001....should still take a couple months to clear that, if CSC continues with momentum...After november, think it should speed up, as other months seem to have less than half of november's....

    I think cal_aos is right regarding November (I certainly hope so).
    I do tend to agree with vipsha that we are seeing a small sample of cases here...I just need to look at my friends who know and use this forum but don't post anything ever...to understand that.

    Overall I get a +ve feeling too...and I've been browsing other service center boards also, and the news (like the economy) is on a "cautious uptick". (All this is subjective...hope I don't have to eat my words tomorrow)
    After my GC, I have stopped frequenting the forum. If you send me a private message I will respond, but only if I see it. A late reply may not do you much good, so please try other avenues first.

    cal_aos, do you think the jump (to 3644) may have anything to do with the Mag 7?

    Hi, cal_aos_waiting,
    Sorry but I must mention about one thing:
    The today's table includes WAC-02-130, 132, 133, 134, 136, 138, and 139, but the previous table didn't,
    so we have only a few new approvals.

    Are approvals close to 100% of processed?
    i.e.,
    does 20 approvals per day imply 20 processed per day?
