NSC local office Mar03 approval - Rcvd plastic cards

Approved by Denver office after local transfer from NSC. Interview/approval date Mar6th, 2003. My wife received plastic card April1st. My card was lost for a while since it went to our old address(also did not have the correct surname in our mailbox) and went back to INS. Called them up, updated the addresses and our mailbox and got the card re-delivered today.

BIG relief!!
Very happy to get cards this soon(even though our 485 was delayed for long long time!)

I'm doing fine. Don't get to this board that often these days but do check it out sometimes.

Hope you are enjoying your new life. I already teavelled overseas and returned on my I-551 stamp. No problems anywhere. Actual card will take another 6 months.

One thing I found funny was how your wife recvd her card while your card was sent back. Strange ways of USPS and/or BCIS. Still, consider yourself VERY lucky that you got it back so soon. Another friend of mine in a similar situation had to wait 1 year (after making several phone calls and follow ups) before he could get it back.

So I guess a lesson in life is never assume you are the unluckiest of the lot, without knowing what others are going thru.
