USA -w2 and tax returns

Hi,

I got letter saying initial assesment is done and says that they expect to finalise the application without interview. They have asked for additional document, usa w-2 income statements and tax returns for past three years.

Do any one know what should i submit for tax return? Because when i filed the tax i just filled 1040 form and posted it to IRS.so i am left with w-2's copies for myself.

Any help on this will be appreciated.

Hi,

If you go to nearest IRS office and ask for your tax returns for last three years they will provide you the same. It's no hassle, just need to go the IRS office. I hope this helps.

In the future, you may want to photocopy the 1040 before mailing them out. IRS recommends you to keep a copy for upto 3 years.
