    I485 Status Snapshost for WAC-02-041-5XXXX

    Hi Guys,

Using my proprietary software, I took this snapshot for the 02-041 I485 cases. (Please see the GIF file attached to this message for a chart)

I am going to update the snapshot on a regular basis in this thread.

You can find this information useful if your ND date is close or after 02-041.

Some notes regarding the snapshot report:
I found totally 15 different types of statuses (for 485)

    App Received Count 72
    Approved 46
    Approved, card ordered 46
    Completed 38
    Denied 5
    Fingerprint notice 16
    Fingerprint recvd 7
    Mailed directly 1
    Notice undeliverable 1
    Rejected 1
    Resumed 250
    RFE received 5
    RFE sent 38
    Transferred 9
    Withdrawed 2
    ---------------------------------
    Total 537

I grouped some statuses together, for example:

Approved & Card ordered & Completed
    Denied & Withdrawed
    Resumed & Fingerprint recvd

Good work off-patience. Think you can update the same result set at a later date?

    off-patience,

your snapshot looks great and informative. Good job.

But, when I think, its scary, as out of 537 I-485 cases from last November 20th or so, only 24% are approved.

Where am I in line, for approval?? ???????????

Does anyone have details on how many applications (I-485) went in to INS, during December 2001??

    Very good job

Hi, you have done very good job.

Hany many days in Nov. 2001 on which INS CSC issued I-485 cases? So we can estimate how many cases of Nov. 2001 they have.

Recent trend shows CSC try to follow the time order,
to clean 01, Oct. and Nov. 2001 cases before handling Dec. cases.

Good work off-patience. This is just the thing I wanted to know but am too lazy to write any scripts.

I'm one of the 02-041-5xxx waiters.

    Thanks,

    off-patience .. you are *GOOD*.

Hey I had gotten a few requests to run such an analysis this weekend, now that off-patience did it, I'm gonna defer mine, coz I'm hella busy lately. (If it's okay to do so)

    Thanks a million off-patience!

Could you please run your tool to check Dec cases, like wac-02-070-*****, to find whether INS picked these cases or not?

    Thanks in advance.

    Other distribution

    Off-patience Than you very much,

People talked about that some packages were approved
and others were not tached at all.

I believe your data can verify this view. For example,
in your 041 data, most cases between 041-53xxx and
041-54xxx were approved, got RFE, etc, and most cases
between 041-56xxx and 041-57xxx are still resumed,
    or vice versa.

    Thank you for your information

    GOOD JOB!

    All you software gurus.
    Good data to know.

    WAC-02-076 Snapshot

    Great job Off-Patience.

I ran the VB script for WAC-02-076 and although we all knew they hadn't started Dec., (the data on the chart confirms that nothing has started), I now have the spreadsheet data loaded so I can easily rerun and check.

I think it would be great if everybody ran theirs for the particular day they were interested in. Then if there was enough interest from everybody, we could run this maybe once a week and that way we would have an accurate picture of what INS is or isn't doing.

Any interest out there in doing this?

Dec. is totally like .. why bother at this point of time. I really hope INS picks up some speed, so we can expect this approval date to move forward.

Last night, i ran update for the 02-041 wac list.
    Here is what I got:

    on 10/24/02:

    1 wac - RFE -> Approved
    1 wac Resumed -> Approved

    on 10/25/02:
    NONE of wacs were changed

    on 10/28/02:

So, the snapshot is the following:
    Approved/Completed 137 (24%)
    Denied/Withdrawn 7 (1%)
    FP sent 17 (3%)
    Misc 3 (1%)
    Received 72 (13%)
    Resumed/FP recvd 250 (47%)

    What about 01-294?

    Hello off-patience,

Can you please run your script on WAC-01-294? My message still says 975-999 days.

BTW, I'm thinking of going to CSC Laguna Niguel to inquiry my case over the counter sometime. Is there anybody has such experience to share with me?

    Thanks,

  19. #19
I have been there, not so much helpful, like phone.

They closed at around 2:00 p.m,
waiting list is long, therefore arrival time between 12:30
    and 13:30 is the best

02-041 Progress on Tuesday, Oct 29

Only one case was touched: Resumed -> RFE Sent

  21. #21
Looks like 02-041 guys are not lucky ones.

Only one forth (25%) of cases approved so far, while one third of 02-042 guys got approved already, as discovered by pil.

UGLY, UGLY stats on case assigning/approval rate!!!

    10/25/02 - 10/28/02
    NONE

    29-Oct-02:
    2 RFE sent

    30-Oct-02:
    NONE

    31-Oct-02
    1 RFE recvd

There are 400 (FOUR HUNDRED!!!) pending cases filed on Novemebr 16 ONLY!

And NO SINGLE approval for a fifth straight day! And only one case in average is being touched a day!

I am getting sick of it!!!

I agree about the ugly rate. I wish I knew a reason why it is the way it is. I wish we could do something. To start with, we can leave feedback @ INS website ..
    http://www.ins.gov/graphics/feedback.htm

Given 1 case being touched a day, and assuming an apprx. of 1/3rd guys approved, (considering WAC-02-41 thru 49), and an average of 500ish cases a day, we are looking at another 6-7 months before the whole batch gets approved (all of us). In other words, to approve 10 days worth work, they'd take 7 months.

In other words, this bullshit will not continue, INS CSC will either have to pick up speed, or close down. I'd lean towards option #1.

But I wish I knew why this sudden slowdown.

    status on 11/01/02

Today no activity was detected, however we have two new approvals with timestamp 10/31/02, although their statuses were changed today. So, looks like status change has up to 1 day of lag.

    Finally, we have for 10/31/02:
    2 - Approved
    1 - RFE rcvd

Overall snapshot is attached: (BTW, why can't we post images directly to the thread? Can somebody ask to enable [IMG] tag on this board?)

Hopefully, this week we'll see more approvals. keep the good job off-patience

    status on 11/06/02

What a day! We've got 3 denials today.
And nothing else since the last report.

Can You Please run for WAC-02-056-xxxxx

    Thanks

Still not convinced the web system is accurate. For example had FP done last Friday and phone system states prints received and okay.
Web system has no update. The same when I renewed my visa with a I-129 - got the physical approval 2 weeks before the web showed it as approved.

Stupid question: how does the WAC numbering system work - I thought 02 was
the year but you are refering to last years cases ? when do they increment the 02 and the second set of digits, do the 3rd set start at
    zero ?

    Nov 8, 2002 Status

Nothing really interesting since last run:

6 case RFE sent -> RFE recvd

Most of activities happened with cases that had been already approved earlier. It happens in the following sequence:

approved -> completed -> card ordered

Average number of cases being TOUCHED a day slowly but surely is approaching 0 (ZERO) per day.
(I don't consider RFE sent -> RFE rcvd updates as touched cases since they been already touched earlier)

  30. #30

    status 11/12/02

    Since last run:
    1 Reumed - > RFE recvd
