My H1 was pretty much lost at in the INS. I upgraded it to premium processing, had the employer pay the $1,000 (wasn't happy about it) and it got processed in exactly 21 days (even said 15 from receipt date)

My employer filed for extension 6 months in advance, they'd rather not pay premium fee, but will do so if not approved by oct this year.

My case# is WAC-03-149-5xxxx
(we used to track lots of cases by these numbers back in 2000)

I would like to know how long it takes for BCIS to deliver the receipt notice in case of normal H1-transfer (ie. non-premium-processing). I am interested in the CA Service Center.

How many days once the application has been sent ?

Is H1-B extension consider as a brand new H1 or not? I am wondering because H1-B Quotas are decreasing and if the extensions considered to be part of them.

H1 transfer/extensions donot count under quota..Those who are already on H1B in USA will not come under the quota..

Your I129 petition for a nonimmigrant worker was received on 8/28/03. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 30 and 60 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

I remember for regular case, it will show 144 days or something like that.

Please confirm.

Has anyone applied for 8th year H1-B extension based on pending labour/I-140. Please share your experiences (approval, RFE etc.).

I am in the process of applying for the 8th year extension. Does the filing process or documents change in anyway compared to 7th year extension.
