H1B VISA tracking ( thread closed)

Hi,

I had filed for my H1B visa on 30 April and haven't received it as yet. My student visa expires at the end of August. I am thinking of going for premium processing. How long does premium processing of a new H1B visa take? Does it take one month or 15 days for a new H1B?

It might come before august end, but why take risk to be out of status ? don't wait and go for premium processing.

INS will give your reply in 15 days or less (approval, denied or REF)

Mine h1 ext came in 2 1/2 month, I think nsc is better than other VSC or TSC. if you running out of any otrer visa or planning to go out country or your employer is agree than go for premium processing.

I've filed for Premium Processing on Aug 20. We'll see how long it takes. with my frigging luck, this might take a couple of months too.

Just found out.. my H1 extension approved.

RD: 11 apr
Approved on 21st Aug.
from VSC.

Took little over 120 days.

RD March 30th 2002. Still waiting for approval. H1 Extension at VSC. Surprising to hear Apr 11 RD is approved, whereas March is still not complete. No RFE's so far according to the AVM.

March cases still pending pls. respond.

I was really thinking to opt for Premium Processing this week but I'm glad that its over now. I was browsing these messages on this site and murthy's and shusterman's to see the visa status situations - but unfortunately all groups are out of whack and can't seem to figure out where/what date is INS processing the transfers cases.

Please do a favor and help others - when your case is approved, please post it for others. It takes a minute to post a message but helps others in a long way.

This is a brand new H-1B petition. In fact I accepted an offer from company B while I was waiting for my visa approval. A second H-1B petition is submitted by company B through premium processing on Sept. 04, 2002. Now I have to wait till the premium processed visa to be approved in order to start my employment with company B.

Congrats!! on your H1 approval. My H1 was filed in TSC and still waiting for th approval. Filed under normal processing in May 2002 (h1 Transfer).

They take 2 weeks to respond to premium processing. If they take longer, they refund your $1000.

Just heard AVM my case for H1B extention has been approved
on Sept 10th 2002
this was regular processing was realy going to change it to Premium but thank god atleast saved my $1000 bucks

RD April 23rd wife and kid got approved for extention

I guess you should apply for premium processing now, because it is too late... for normal processing.

it took 141 days to get it approved

was realy long wait but finaly its over
