my case is a tad bit more complicated than the title might imply.
I am in the US on a F1 visa that was issued in 2009. Before that I was in the States on a J1 visa from 2007-2008. When I first applied for my F1 visa it was denied, because I wanted to go to school in Colorado, where I had also spent my time as an AuPair on the J1 visa. They said they were afraid I would work illegally for my former host family, which was not the case. During my AuPair year I had met my boyfriend in Colorado, but I can't really tell the embassy that I am dating someone in the US, because they are so paranoid about people just coming here to get married. O well... back to my visa troubles. After being denied twice to get my visa for a school in Colorado, I finally got my visa because I applied for school in Seattle. I went to school there for one Semester and then transferred to Colorado so I could be with my boyfriend. I spent 2 years there, until he had to move because of work. Now we live in Arizona and I am going to school here. We are still not married, so I am still on a F1 visa.
So here is my question: Now that I'm out of school for the summer I would really love to go home, but I am scared that I might not be able to come back. Can the person at the port of entry see on the computer that my visa was denied for Colorado and that I transferred there and spend 2 years there? So could I get in trouble for being in Colorado? What does it show them about my embassy visits and reasons why I was denied? I have never been out of status or anything. I have a 4.0 gpa and am on the honors roll. The only thing that they could not like is me going to Colorado when I was told not to.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help.
Thank you very much.
