So, I have a Bachelors and Masters in IT with a few good work references. I do not have what you would call a career, as I have been traveling/backpacking for a majority of that time.
I have a good job in Canada, will not have a job waiting in the US. I do not have $7000 now, but will have that by the time of my interview. Most of my money has been spent on traveling, which is why I have so little now.
Within IT I work in security, pen testing and auditing and such.
To summarize:
No life savings, as such.
$7000 saved in about 3 months from a salary job.
Very high education level, Masters degree in comp sci.
Due to my skillset and education, will not have any problem getting work.
Will definitely not have 13k by the time of my interview however.
I hope that helps, and again, thankyou.
Salary is calculated annually. They may only ask for one weeks paycheck. They do 1 weeks pay x 52 divide by 12 to get monthly. Or if paid month they divide by 4 x 52 to get a more accurate annual. I was personally only asked for one paycheck though I had a w2.
Anyhow, I wish u the best.
