    question about US citizen marrying Candian citizen

    Hi,

    I'm a US citizen. If I were to marry a Canadian citizen and have her live with me in the US after getting married, is there any possibility of me gaining any sort of legal status in Canada (like PR card or Canadian citizenship) thru my future spouse?

    After getting married I plan to stay in the US.

    What would be the steps in involved and what type of visas could I apply for?

    Your Canadian spouse can sponsor you for Canadian permanent resident status.
