Beware of flying Air France and Luftansa

France now requires you to have a transit visa just to pass tro their stinking airport. In case of Germany, if your Visa has expired you will need a transit visa even if you have a valid I-94 to pass thro frankfurt to reach India. Please boycott airlines of these cursed countries. Alos beware of Delta flights going tro Paris

No ... check with embassy ...

This was misunderstanding (wrong information provided by travel agent) with my frieds family also...when they went to EU (Europian Union) embassy for VISA, they said it\'s not required there is no such law if you are not stepping out of the airport.
Check with embassy ...they says not required...but we don\'t want to check as we don\'t want to take any risk. Why to pay un necessory for the VISA. transit VISA is only required if your are stepping out of the airport (for site seeing etc).
    Happy Journey !!!

    France atleast needs Transit Visa

Yes. Information is correct. My family was travelling by AIR FRANCE (I had booked tickets before they introduced this rule). I had to get her a Transit Visa. If you have permenant residency, then, you don\'t need transit visa.
Starting April/May, even Delta passengers would need a transit visa, as Delta will fly via Paris.
I don\'t think, we would need to advice people to boycott this airlines. No one will fly this airlines if they are asked to do so before booking tickets.

That is the point Travel agents do not tell you before

Anyway the boycott call was to Indians who have green cards and do not need a visa. Why should we stand for shoddy treatment. I can understand a visa to enter the country. A visa just to pass thro the airport is pure harrasment.

Do you need Transit Visa if you have valid GC stamp but no card?

I goy my tickets booked from AF, at that time I did not know that we need transit visa, now my 485 is approved and I will get my passport stamped before I travel,
do I still need to get transit visa??

    No Title

What are the other choices, man? AirIndia and Malay Air.
Unless AirIndia fies three or 4 flights a day it is not going to solve the problem.

KLM, Emirates, Singapore, anything that goes via london

I wish that stupid Air India would get its act together and start flying again more regularly. But no such hope till it is privatised

Just watch, London and UAE will follow and do the same.

We are spineless and we deserve this!
