Continuous Resident: Tax Question for N-400

    Hi All,

In N-400 there is question in Continuous Resident section:

Have you ever called yourself "nonresident" on a federal, State or local tax return. Yes or no.

In my case I did some consulting work So I filled non resident in working state and resident in my resident state.
I also moved to CA. CA I filled Part time resident. CA use same form for Parttime and non resident.

Please help me. What should I write for this question?

    Thanks in advanced
    AJ

I think that question pertains to calling oneself a non-resident of the US, and not inter-state issues.

cafeconleche is correct. The question pertains to excluding foreign income while abroad and being taxed as a resident in another country WHILE a greencard holder.
