How can a Canadian citizen, obtain a USA passport?

I known a few people that hold both passports, how is that possible and what are the steps to take?

I've been trying for years to no avail. One option would be a TN visa, but not being a dual-intent visa status itself, I foresee a potential complication when it comes to AOS. Best of luck!

It is very much possible. Some hold both by virtue of birth. Some hold both by being born in one country and immigrating (and eventually naturalising) to the other. Some (like me) hold both after immigrating to both US and Canada at different times in their lives and qualifying for naturalisation.
