i-131 biometric appointment - walk-in before appointment date denied

Hello guys,

I applied for re-entry permit in July end. I got appt for Sept 13th, but, my school starts on Sept 6th in UK?
I went to 2 different centers, but, they are saying that they cannot prepone the date. They are saying that I can come on any wednesday after 13th for walk-in up to 90 days, but, cannot come before that.
Is there anything else I can do to prepone.

Can I join the school on 6th, and come back on 13th to do my finger-printing?

Try another center. Or the same center on a different day. And go on Wednesday, when they are more accommodating of walk-ins. Don't point out that it's earlier than your actual appointment date. Just show the paper and act like everything is fine.

Then if they make an issue of it, explain that you have to leave before the 6th and show them the ticket.

Yes. You can leave the US before the FP, as long as you return and attend the FP.

Sure buwalagos, Jackolantern is a rock star. I followed his advice. I went to third different center in NY last wednesday around 1:00 PM. There was no rush, and noone noticed the different date or center, till fingerprinting was done. In the end, the lady taking my fingerprinting noticed and asked me, why I am at that center. I just said that I wanted to do walk-in on Wednesday and NY is close to my work. She said she will check, if its okay to take my fingerprint at NY center. She asked her supervisor and then came back and told me that it is okay. Just took 5 mins. I am so relieved.
