    Labor Certification

My Lawyer told me that there is no way that we can track the status of my Labor Certificate.
We applied for it in March 09.
Please let me know if this is true and what else can i do.
    Thanks

There is no way YOU can check the status of your labor certification. Your employer/attorney will have a login and password at the DOL website where THEY can check your status. DOL is currently processing cases received in January 2009, so it is likely your case has not been processed yet anyway. You can view the current processing times at http://icert.doleta.gov/ and then by clicking on the PERM Processing Times tab.

In most cases, the employer or the attorney has the right to check the status of the Labor Certificate. As it's been a long time since you applied for it, I think that you should plan for your proceeding with your lawyer as he would be able to assist you in a better way and would also look into the matters if any regarding this. Also check this with the labor's union commission and see what they have to say about this.
