F-1 and employment after AOS

My wife was an F-1 VISA. She was employed at the school. Today we had to terminate her F-1 because of financial issues in terms of tuition. I am a US citizen and have applied for AOS. Will there be a problem if she continues to work?

Hi,

I am F-1 (Master degree) student.
Graduated in Dec 2009.
Currently working with the F1 OPT: ended by Nov 30, 2010.

I got married with a Citizen on Aug 13, 2010.
Filled the I-130, G-325A, I-864, I-765, I-485 on Sept 15, 2010.
Got the receipt for I-130, I-485, I-765 on Sept 21, 2010.

As per today, the status on I-30 and I-765: Initial review
I-485: acceptance
I have not received renewal I-765.
It almost 2 months, by this Nov 21st, and no changes on "my case status"

Questions:

#1 Assume I am still waiting for my finger print/interview, no update on "my case status" (status quo). After my OPT ended on Nov 30th:

1. With the green card application receipt, am I legal to stay until the decision come out? If not, until when am I still legal to stay with my F-1?
2. Can I stay legally without issue in the US after Nov 30th using my 90 days grace period from my F-1?
3. Should I maintain my F-1 status - Apply back to school during the 60 days grace period?
4. Can I still be working legally?
5. My employer mentioned I can still be working legally in this situation as long as I provide them with copy of marriage certificate and the receipt of my I-30, I-765, I-485. Is this true?
6. Should I leave the country?
7. What would be the possible issues in pending my case status? Why it takes so long?
8. What would be the normal time frame to process F1 - GC in TX?

#2 Assume something bad happen, we got divorce, while waiting for finger print/interview.

1. What would happen to the case? Still this be continued? Would it be stopped?
2. If re-married with other citizen, can I file a new form? If not what should I do?

#3 Assume I get divorce and leave the country for few years and never show-up for the interview or finger print.

1. Would this case cancel automatically? If not, how can I cancel/withdraw the case?
2. If I get married with other US citizen in my country and come back to the US, can I file a new form with that other person?

#4 Assume I just want to cancel/withdraw the process, what would be the steps?

does anybody have an idea how long approval of EAD takes at Nebraska service center? I am (or was) F-1, got my notice on June 29 2009, check was cashed July 1st, "case is received and pending".
I had an offer enclosed with the application and still waiting. Immigration counselor at my Uni didn't submit it as expedited, saying there is no starting date on the offer. The company which wants to employ me is saying: it's against their policy to include the date.... like a vicious circle!
