Waitng for H1 extension - I 94 Expiring in May - Passport Expiring in July

Hi Friends,

My Current H1 expired on 28 April 2009.
My I-94 is expiring on 7 May 2009.
My employer has filed extension on 20 March 2009.
My Indian Passport is expiring on 22 July 2009.

(i) Can I apply for Passport Renewal now or (ii) I will have to wait till I get my H1 Extension?

You can apply for your passport renewal 6 months before its due of expiration. There is no need for you to wait till you get your H1 extension. Both the processes have no link.
