AOS approved and Stamped in Houston Texas

Dear friends,
I have been quite for some days but now that the storm is over, i will like to share my experience.
I sent all my documents on 10/11/2005 through USPS. I mean the i-485, i-130, i-765. It appeared on the system that they recieved the documents on the 19th of October,2005.

By first week of November, I got RFP for my medicals. I did the medicals and it was mailed out in a weeks time. It showed on the system that they received the medicals On November 23, 2005.

I proceeded with my finger printings on the 15th of December. Even though I was scheduled for only i-765, the lady there insisted that I do the both that is i-485 inclusive. I was so happy for doing both thesame day.

My EAD was approved on the 20th of December 2005 while my interview letter arrived by second week of January and I was scheduled for February the 27th in Houston, Texas. I did my best to get all the necessary documents in place. On the day of the interview, we got there in a timely manner. When we were called, we went in. Well, we had different Id cards and that raised some suspicions. I was taken to a room far away and my wife was asked to sit tight. The guy asked my wife all the questions. I was called back in after about 20 minutes to answer the questions from i-485. He made copies of our wedding pictures and some of our honeymoon pictures. Then He stamped my passport. On the total, it took me 140 days to get my green card.

Any way, I am an F1 student who is married to USC and I thank God for being faithful to His words.
