    Children at oath ceremony

    Hi!

My oath ceremony is on October 18. My family are going to be accompanying me, including my five children.

On the letter, it states that all guests must show a photo ID. The two eldest children have U.S passports, but the youngest three do not have any sort of photo ID. (They are age 6 (twins) and 10). Will they be permitted to attend the ceremony?

(I do understand that guests will be in a separate area from those who are going to be sworn in, but hubby will be with us, so that is fine.)

If anyone knows if children can attend without a photo ID, I'd appreciate any replies. Thank you!

i am sure they can attend without a photo id. the reason is when i went to my oath, i saw ppl bringing their new born baby (they seemed not having a photo id anyway).

    Should be ok!

I had my oath ceremony at a US District court where you have to go thru metal detector and exray and all that. They looked at my oath letter, verified my name with the list they had and checked my ID. I had both of my kids with me (5 yr and 10 yr), they didnt have any IDs. My wife was with me as well who left her purse in the car 5 blocks away, so she wasnt able to so any ID. The officers were nice enough not to make us walk back to the car (would have been 10 blocks walk) and let us thru.
