I got my EAD and Tavel Document last week on Sept 14th in the mail.Originally Posted by foshizzy

Fortunately, it is not the EAD which has the incorrect A# but it is the Travel Document. One digit is wrong. They also got one letter wrong in my middle name on the travel document.
Does anyone know what do do in this case? Has anyone had a similar experience with the travel document?
If it was the EAD which had the incorrect information I would a lot more pissed just as Noob75. I feel your pain....

2005 Sep 14 (Day 72) EAD and Travel Document on Hand
New issue. I never received my receipt for my I-485, which was sent the same time as my other documents (see date below). Also, I am not able to enter it in my online USCIS portfolio, but the service center staff assures me it is legit (they gave me the receipt no online) and the reason I am not able to add it is because of some internal systems problem. Apparerently, my post office will deliver letters addressed in my name or my husband's but not one addressed jointly to us( as in me, C/O my husband)! Thus my biggest fear is that they might have sent an RFE to me which was never delivered, and which I cannot even check online (it does not accept my app no.). So, to deal with all my problems, I am taking duplicates of everything, going to the local office and crying my heart out to an immigration officer. I have an infopass appointment for the 21st, please pray I get one with a heart.

Hi Guys,
I got my iEAD today. My RD jun.14., ND jun.27. With your help I learned, that I can go to the DO and ask for interim EAD. Today I got there at 2.35 pm, and walked out at 3.36 pm, with my EAD, which valid until 06/ 2006.
Congrats! So im sure now that 90 days are counted from the RD and not the ND as everyone thought.Originally Posted by ancsa
Those of you who have been waiting for 90 days or more since the RD can get iEAD by a walk-in to your DO. Ill be doing that in two weeks if i dont see my EAD by then.![]()

Good Job ancsa! I'm glad that the Houston DO gave you the iEAD and that they gave it until 6/2006. I haven't heard anything new about my case (just checked this evening) and thus if in a few weeks nothing pans out I'll be heading over there -

Hi guys,
about my case:
You need an INFOPASS appointment, otherwise they won't let you in.
You need your passport or any government issued ID, all your NOA
I 130, I 485, I 765. They asked for my RFE, but just took a look. In the lobby there is a sheet on the wall, it says you need your I 765 application form and money order receipt. Immigration officers are nice and friendly except one, of course my window. She said, I had an RFE, that is why my process was on hold. She said actually the 90 days started, when they received my RFE! ( RD 06.14. ND 06.27 RFE at USCIS 08.22 !!! ) Next to this smart lady the other officer heard it, and whispered to her, that she can get is, because 90 days passed since ND. I just don't understand how she can work there, if she does not know the bacis process? I had to go waiting for an other officer, who was very nice, he said: I am going to take care of this. 5 min later he took a picture of me, needed my right index finger print, signature, and 3 min. later he gave me my EAD. I spent there cca. 1 hour, but 45 min. was waiting for my pickticket number.
Update - Guesss something is happening !!!

Okay, when I did not hear from CRIS, everyone's new best friend, and found that NBC is now processing 21st of July applications, I made an infopass appointment (KC) today. My appointment was at 9:30 AM, I went in early and they saw me at 9:15!!The lady said that there were no denials, RFE's associated with any of my cases, but looked at my I-765 application and laughed.
Apparently, they have mistyped my address. Here is what they actually did based on a fictitious address. Instead of writing 115, Turner Street, they wrote 115, 7 Urner Street mistaking my capital and very clearly printed "T" for the number 7. So, she speculated that it might be causing the problems, and asked me to change the address at the hotline. However currently call volumes are very high. Hopefully, I'll make the change and there is nothing else wrong with the application.
For others who plan to go to their own district office, I have found that the better you conduct yourself, the better you are treated. Speak clearly, and be very polite (sorrys. thankyous, I beg your pardons, excuse mes) which I found a lot of people neglect. (One guy of the same nationality as me, simply said `oh' with an "oops" expression when they told him about a mistake that he had made. Manners are very important, and I have found that most immigration officials are most willing to help out, if you treat them nicely. And I also found most people visiting the DO are not very polite. (Endless people watching at 2 different centers). This is not because of lack of manners, but because they are nervous and want to take as little of the officer's time as possible. Even if the please, and good mornings take a few more seconds, it is worth it. I know you are frustrated, I know you are upset, but personal experience is that the nicer you are, the nicer they are.
For those of you who plan to get an interim, my DO said it is 90 days after the receipt date and not the notice date.
For Ari, no duplicate receipts are issued unless the old ones are returned in the mail. Mine were not. I would also recommend that you check all your addresses (all petitions) thoroughly, to make sure they have not done a typo.

Well, its one of those days for me where nothing seems to be going right no matter what i do. Some things are beyond control so i probably should just suck up and wait for 90 days to elapse. I can clearly see myself marching to the DO to get my iEAD.
I confirmed my address all the times i have called the CS and they have it correct. So i dont have a clue as to what the hold up is. As for your receipt, a friend of mine was in the same situation like you. He did not get a receipt for his I-485. He went to the DO and asked for a duplicate receipt and upon verification of his credentials, he was issued one right away. Good Luck to all those still waiting....

9/22/05 Received by INS (Not sure if this is when to start counting the 90 days, or is it from the day the Receipt Notice was sent?)
Hope to see checks cashed and Receipt Notice being mailed soon.
How long between application being signed for by INS to Receipt Notice sent by them?
Thanks alot for tracking this....!!!

A big company is interested in hiring me but they cannot give me any offer because my EAD expired and the renewed one is not approved yet. I am wondering if I can make an appointment to get interim EAD from New York District office.
The similar story happened to me - I've got an offer letter, and thought the card would arrive before I begin my work, but it didn't. Then I went to a Federal Plaza in NYC and requested an iEAD. They wanted to see an offer letter, only then they issued the interim card. I think you should get a letter from the company. Offer has nothing to do with the card. If they want you, they have to put it on paper, then things will get easier for you. Good luck!Originally Posted by Simpleseason

How do you guys first find out about the Notice Date?
Do you first receive the Receipt Notice in the mail, or do the checks get cashed, or can you see it online?
THANKS!
