Funny how the 'system' works. It should be as simple as
update ap set void='Y' where a# in (select a# from i485 where approved='Y')

Just got my AP in the mail. I wonder if they'll send me a new EAD too!

Does USCIS even know how to use thier own computer system? I was expecting to get the AP after my GC got approved a month ago, but its even funnier to see it in the mail. I've even recently filed an I-90 for a replacement card to get the birthdate corrected on the card.
Anyway, just thought I'd share this idiotic episode with you.
As always, I'm still curious about how any work ever gets done correctly at USCIS.

You think you cannot go from TN to GC without doing an H1b? Then you really need to read this: 21 Steps for getting a GC from TN Status http://www.immigrationportal.com/sho...92&postcount=2

Curious George
You paid for the AP. So USCIS has granted you AP whether it is needed by you or not.
Reminds me of a funny story on Governmental program for afforestation:
Two guys were seen working very busy; One was digging holes in a row and the other one was filling up the holes as soon as it was dug. A passerby was astonished to see this kind of rapid work and asked the workers what they were doing. They replied they were working on Governmental program for tree planting. It turned out the guy who was supposed to plant the trees was on vacation. But the other two guys were working anyway![]()
