    worth pondering!!

Why does a person need 140 approval if 140 and 485 are being approved concurrently?

    sounds promising

way to go man, we need more of these....

  4. #4
We probably need a few more parameters in place for that case before we can say anything - his FP date etc. This might be a random pick. But, you never know. I remember someone from Jan 2003 getting approved a few days back.

This might be totally unrelated. But, did you guys notice there were quite a few 485 approvals (mostly from end of 2001 thru around aug 2002) posted in the 485 forum?

    Good luck to u all.

    interesting scenario

    Mine is pre-approved labor
    140 & 485 Filed March 2003 - Concurrent
    Finger print April 2003
EAD and AP approved in May 2003
    140 NOT APPROVED YET
485 APPROVED BOTH OF US(MYSELF AND MY WIFE).

No idea how this happened...140 not approved and 485 approved.

We are going for stamping tomorrow to Newark. Please post any of your experiences. Lawyer asked me to be there around 5 AM.

    another concurrent approval

If I am not mistaken there was another 485 approval for RD Mar 2003. I guess the nickname was mdu123 ? I believe it is was concurrent filing.

  8. #8
Yes mine was concurrent filing. My I 140 was cleared long back. In bjsp's case both I140 and I485 were adjudicated together I suppose. His lawyer must have received the I 140 approval notice, if that is the case. He can only clarify that.

    Good luck

Congratulations! You are one lucky dawg! Please pardon my language. How did you get your FP done in a month's time? Everything moved fast for you. What's your EB category?

I am changing the title to be "Unbelievably Fast Approvals" and sticking it in the top threads, so we can track all the unbelievable cases.

  11. #11
Just talked to my lawyer. He said he believe fast approval is going to be a trend.

For employer' s records,if it is based on such,I guess --as 485 is not connected or intimated to employer .When employer's files 140 to CIS,it is the obligation of CIS to intimate the approval to employer/agent and he has the 'right' to know.

    This is really shocking news

I scanned in the morning EAC03-210 series with the ND 7/15/2003 and .... 4 approvals in the last week ... all of them RFE recvd ... what's going on? I'll try to scan all dates I have by Monday.

  20. #20
Are these 485 approvals? If so, that would be shocking.

Otherwise, if these are just I-140 approvals -- what's so shocking? We know the VSC is currently processing lot's of Jul/Aug/Sep EB3 and Sep EB2 cases so these approvals are to be expected, no? Or are you saying it's a bit odd that these cases all had RFE's -- maybe they're all from the same company with the same RFE?

    In that case -- !

That said, it's not like we've seen a rash of FP notices recently. Afaik, these are basically still stuck around May 2002...

I just wish we could know what's going on -- it's frustrating having to wait but if you know roughly how long you'll have to wait it makes things a bit easier...

If I remember correctly - this was roughly the processing date when FO memo came in.

Ya, for I-140's that would be about right (I-485's were / are still stuck at around Feb 2002):

    04/08/04 VSC processing dates:

    I-765 (AOS) 11/21/03 (+11 days)
    I-140 (EB2 excep. ability) 06/20/03 (+98 days)
    I-140 (EB2 excep. ability NIW) 07/26/02 (+30 days)
    I-140 (EB3 skilled worker) 05/15/03 (+7 days)
    I-485 02/15/02 (+0 days)

    04/22/04 VSC processing dates:

    I-765 (AOS) 01/20/04 (+59 days)
    I-140 (EB2 excep. ability) 07/14/03 (+24 days)
    I-140 (EB2 excep. ability NIW) 08/09/02 (+14 days)
    I-140 (EB3 skilled worker) 08/06/03 (+81 days)
    I-485 02/15/02 (+0 days)

Still, where are the FP notices if they are starting to implement the FO memo .

The last ones who received bulk FP notices are the ones with ND at the end of June 2003. Check my xls files I posted on I485 forum ...

Hey nemessis -- do you know off-hand where that post is? I'm looking but haven't found it so far...

I've been keeping half an eye on FP notices and I thought that most of these were for around 05/02 at the earliest so I must have missed the info that you are talking about. This would seem to indicate that at least something is up at the VSC -- prior to this there's been no indication that it isn't "business as usual" with I-140's continuing to be approved through ND's of Sep 03 and at least one in Oct 03 a few days ago).
