    Don't Delay any more

    It's time to accelerate.
I know that a lot of people definitely want to contribute, but they do not see any urgency in this. It is wrong. We are fighting backlog delays. So let us not delay our fight. The sooner we get enough money, the sooner we can have some one working for us to meet all the congress men on our behalf. We really can't do much without enough fund. So let's hurry up and wind up this fund collection fast and start the actual work. Please donate NOW. There are a lot of senior people in this forum. It's time for them to come forward and contribute to this cause. "sbctsublc" should be a good inspiration for you. He took his time but he joined the fight with a thunder. Please donate and post it here.
For any reason, if we can't collect enough money to do any meaningful work, we might return the money(full or partly) to the donors. So your money won't go to drain. Be assured.

    Just paid to our organization

    Thanks for bringing this up.
I have contributed today to our organization and will do so next month also.
I dont make even one-third as much as some of the people on this forum but have realized that "justice delayed is justice denied" and there is no point in procrastinating for working towards a just cause.
Hopefully more people (even those like me on a tighter budget) will come forward.
    Have a great weekend.

I don't understand you guys. Why are you so impatient? With EAD card in your hand, you can work for any employer in US. With the advanced parol, you can go out and come in this country freely. There might be some delays in INS, but sooner or later you will get the green card if there is no special reason. It is only a matter of time.

We have to understand the INS officers. They have a lot of more important things to do to protect this country. They have already given the legal immigrants the most convinence comparing with other countries. But you have no appreciation for this, just push and push! Give some respect and understanding! Don't be too greedy!!!

    Samansa,

Sounds like you already have the green card or don't care about it. It is important to have the final 485 approval because eventhough you can use Act21, if you get laid off and don't find a similar job, you might be out of status and eventually loose the green card. So just delaying this doesn't help our cause.

dsatish, you may want to post it in the 140 forums, I don't think anybody is aware of this fund collection, at least I wasn't and I was pretty active in the 140 VSC forum.

Here are two examples at Complaint's forum:

    1) dependent's status on primary applicant's death
    http://immigrationportal.com/showthr...hreadid=118635

    2) dependent's education
    http://immigrationportal.com/showthr...hreadid=112010

EAD / AP doesn't solve the above issues at all.
Only AOS approval can solve them.

    Samansa,
Now a days, almost every one is ending up with applying for 3 EAD's and 3 AP's. I saw some people going for 4th EAD also. Do you know how burdensome this whole thing is ? Every one applies these EAD/AP extentions for both him/herself and the spouse. To add salt to the wounds, this arrogant USCIS is now increasing the fees for these applications.
More importantly, EAD does not give you freedom to choose your job, even within the same field. There is a limitation that the new job has to be 'similar' job as the previous one. This word 'similar' is not defined precisely. So it is subject to individual interpretation of the adjudicators. That's why people like me are hesitant to change jobs. How can you expect the job titles and job descriptions to be same in every company ? So there is always some risk associated with using AC21.
We are stuck with those small companies we have joined some 4 yrs back. As a result, instead of getting a 90K salary which my experience and skillset deserve, i am getting around 45K consistently for the past 4 yrs. The reason is i (like most of the people here) work as a consultant and my company places me at client companies through other bigger consulting companies. As a result, i end up getting a small portion of what the client pays for my services. In almost all the companies that i have worked as a consultant, i got an offer to join as a full time employee with around 85K salary, but i have rejected the offers due to my pending GC. Due to this prolonged GC process, i have never made any money because i was getting only around 45K/yr and i have a wife and a child to support. I am sure that this is true with many other people in this forum. We have suffered heavy financial losses due to the GC delays. If not for this GC, i would have been having atleast 60K in my bank now.
Now i don't even have 6K. Where is the question of greediness here ? Greediness means , having everything and still wanting more.

We have to understand the INS officers. They have a lot of more important things to do to protect this country.
Who asked them not to protect this country ? And who the hell told you that in order to protect this country, they have to rob this employment based GC applicants with multiple EAD's, multiple AP's and slowed down system? If security is important then they have to allocate budget for it and hire people for that. Taking budget from our fees and diverting our adjudicators only shows their collous attitude and it is exactly what we are fighting against.

They have already given the legal immigrants the most convinence comparing with other countries. But you have no appreciation for this, just push and push!
LOL .. .. Oh my God, you made my day. Good TGIF Now i know why you are so grateful to them (adjudicators)

Give some respect and understanding! Don't be too greedy!!!
Since you got your approval last month after a long wait, you don't want others to get it now. It is typical of a few of the narrow minded selfish neo-GC'ites. Hundreds of GC candidates still visit this site because of the beauty of this site and they have all been graceful enough not to make any comments on our efforts. GC approved People like Edison, frantic, kash777 etc are fighting for the backlog reduction efforts by taking part in this fund collection drive . I am happy that we haven't seen any selfish people like you interfering in our campaign thus far.

Thats the spirit, ag28. You are absolutely true. It is OUR organization. This is an effort by members of this forum. Nothing more and nothing less. My financial position is no better than your's. When i have sent my check of $200, i have only around $500 in my bank, but as one of the persons leading this effort, i have to lead by example and that's why i have shelled out such a big amount. I know that these financial problems are temporary and we will get our days in future. I have sent out private messages to a few people about the donations and from their responses i have gathered that a lot of people in this forum are facing financial difficulties due to this GC process.

    Why we need the fund
    ----------------------------
Let me explain once again about the need for this fund. As you all know, things(GC processing speed) were going hopelessly slow in 2003. We all have seen a marked inprovement in speed after the lawsuit is filed. The lawsuit itself was a result of continuous discussions and efforts in this forum by committed people like edison, cinta, sai-2356, yjay, frantic etc (ofcourse i was also there). We all had played a role in melting the kind heart of our host 'Rajiv' who has decided to help us out, free of cost.
Now what will happen if we lose the case ? It is very simple. The processing time will reach 5 yrs. You all can understand what a victory for USCIS means for us ? So we need a back up plan. We need to take our problems to the congress man as a united organization. Now comes the big question mark : WHO WILL DO THIS ? There is no answer to this. Every body in this forum has a job to do and we can't really put serious full time efforts . That's why we need to have an organization representing us with proper office address, letter heads, web site, membership, staff etc. All this needs funds and that's why we are before you. Unless we get money, we really can't promise exact course of action because how we will proceed depends on how much money we collect. So, please leave the logistics to us and join the organization by contributing to the fund TODAY. We will have the Email addresses of all the contributors and we will send Emails about our progress. Paypal does not provide us your credit card numbers. So your privacy is secured.

Only AOS approval can solve them.
Also, GC delay results in citizenship delay which ultimately delays the reunion with your parents in USA since only US citizens can sponsor GC for their parents, brothers and sisters.

I hope you are not a USCIS adjudicator acting in disguise here

Have some common sense man!!! Nobody is giving up the security issue here but that is not the point. People are frustrated because USCIS is a highly disorganized organization. IMHO that itself is a very big security risk to the country. They have to come out with schemes where the turn around time is predictable, there is a better help desk to respond to status of cases etc., How can a Oct/Nov 2002 case get approved while a 2001 case still has not even gotten a second FP?

SO DO NOT TRY TO ACT SMART HERE!!!

PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT in this forum. SO DO NOT THINK THEY ARE SHOUTING FOR NO REASON.

I made my contribution today and will continue to do so. I feel that this is a wonderful effort. I really appreciate this and I want to join the fight as well.

Let us bump this thread very often so that everyone will get a chance to view this and come forward to make their contributions.
I had already spent more than $2000 towards my EAD's and AP's. By making this effort, I hope that atleast it will reduce the processing delays in the future and people don't have to suffer like we do.

That's the spirit with which we are pursuing this. It's not just for our approval. We don't want any one to suffer the type of sufferings we have endured. Unfortunately a lot of people who think that they will soon be approved, are not coming forward because they think that this fight will not help them much. For those people let me clarify that this fight is not just for reducing the backlogs, but also for reducing the waiting period for citizenship after GC. We want a bill to be introduced to start the 5 yr wait period (for citizenship) from the day we have applied for I485. I request every one to join this fight, irrespective of how close they are for approval. With USCIS, nothing is guaranteed. If you think that you may not get much benefit out of this effort, then atleast contribute smaller amount.

Even though I am close to my GC approval(I hope so), I joined the fight by making the contribution. Also, I agree with dsatish that not many of us are coming forward thinking that we might get approved anytime soon.

We enjoy Freedom/Independence today only because our freedom fighters took the fight into the oppostion. This is something similar to that. So, I request everyone to join in this fight by making your contribution.

Started with $100. Can we post an email message which we can use to forward to our contacts ?
God doesn't require us to succeed; he only requires that you try.
