any one had any experience of getting I485 RFE triggered by 3rd EAD/AP?
i assume they would check the status of the pending I485 and if the same officers handle I485, then they would send a RFE or touch 485 case? any idea?

with the current speed, i think it is safe to expect some time after June/July 2004 for RFE....Approval.. no one knows!

Same here. 1st FP was done sometime in Sept 2002. Just got 3rd EAD and AP (both approved in 4-5 weeks time). Waiting for 2nd FP and possibly RFE.

Labor was applied and approved back in 1998. Still working for the same employer (gosh 8 years now). My bad luck, I-140 took several years (first it was rejected because of lawyer screwup, then application was lost or something)... it took over 3 1/2 years to get I-140 approval.

Wanted to go for Consular processing in early 2002 but NVC never received the file even though INS claimed they sent. Finally went ahead with 485. It was taking approx. 6 months at that time, therefore, never bothered to do much about CP.

In the mean time, I had to let go 2 promotions. The guy I proposed in my own place is a director of a big group.

So frustated, I started law school. If I pass the bar, I will be a lawyer next year. Loving it.

so much more to say... but... no use...

If anyone here thinks he/she is unlucky, talk to me.

clear December cases so I assume atleast 3 months for
every month thereafter. So my guess is next year would
be the time to expect something.

Damn! similar story here! Labor applied in 1998. First lawyer screwed up, then Dept. of labor lost my file. Labor approved in 2000. 140 took more than a year. Opted for CP. NVC never received the file. Opted for attorney certified processing; home consulate would not take up the case. Finally 485 applied in May 02.

I see something unusual with April 2002 I-485 cases. No RFE, late FP etc….

First FP done on last week of December 2002 for me and my wife (derivative beneficiary), after sending fax request for FP. My status never got updated. (FBI cleared FP), but my wife status says “ result of FP …. and processing resumed)

Second time I only got FP notice (FP done in May 2003). Since my status says “On…. Date we send you to appear for FP…”

So far no RFE, I expect RFE for my wife (her FP expired today, she could not go through medical as she was pregnant at the time of I-485, she could get RFE to go through medical now).

I work for university. Just wondering if they are going to send RFE for job verification etc… Its EB1 case, which has no labor certification.

I am in your boat. I applied in EB1 category as well. 2nd FP done on 8th Jan., 2004. No RFE yet. One on my firends in my company applied in the EB1 category after me ie 9th April, 2002. She got approved last year in June (2003) after transfer to lacal office. He PD was 16th Dec, 2001.... Lucky she,
