Looks like DOL texas is moving now, even though on the website of labor it shows as july2002 for RIR CATEGORY, I called dallas office & they told me that it is processing Aug2002 RIR cases.
But even khanna site shows july 2002 for rir regional.
Also I checked quannlaw.com wesite for processing dates fo DOL RIR dallas, it shows aug'02 processing. Today I called the quannlaw office & they told me that the aug'02 dates for RIR DOL are correct.

Guys since last couple of days nobody is posting any updates on DOL Dallas. Please Please put ur info so that it can be helpful to others Also. I am daily seeing most of the posting for either philadelphia or virginia or california or atlanta but no texas. So guys wake up & please post your DOL posting for dallas region.

    lalaker,
Please see my 2 update in this thread. Also check at quannlaw.com & also check http://www.lewisatlaw.com/processing/labor_federal.html for fedral dates. I also spoke to dallas office directly, they also told me friday that they are processing aug'02 for RIR cases.

Thought my case might be of interest.... my labor certification for a software engineering position was submitted through Dallas in Feb/2002. I work in telecoms. Due to industry layoffs and two heavy rounds of layoffs by my employer, we had to respond to 2 RFEs (Requests For Evidence). I just received the news from my lawyers that it was approved! This is unexpected good news. I had expected my LC to be denied or shelved indefinitely, especially since it was filed under RIR. My lawyers were setting my expectations to likely have to refile the case as non-RIR. I apologize if this is not the correct forum, but wanted to pass along the info that there are still cases getting through Good luck to everyone out there. I've been in the US for almost 4 years now, so this approval is a big load off my shoulders. Wished that I had finished my GC at my first employer during the good times.

    Thanks spb999

    Thanks for starting this board.

Looks like all the applicants from texas just sleep all the time. Nobody comes here. ANyway, i applied for LC @ TWC on 11/02/02. I got letter from TWC on 11/10/02 stating that my application received. No correspondence after that.

I talked to my lawer last month about talking to TWC as 90 days after application filing is over. And All RIR apps are supposed to be opened within 9o days. He asked me to wait untill mid-march and then talk to TWC.

    Any ideas/suggestions from anyone?

Looks like LC date in TX SESA moved up by a month in last couple of months. Now it is 9/20/02.

Anyone applied @TWC under RIR last year before Nov, got anything sofar? If yes, can you please post.

    Thanks,
    pkanthi

    TX SESA Applicant

    Hello all,

It's a releif to see some posting for TX LC's. Anyways, my priority date for TX SESA is Oct' 23, 2002. Someone there should be looking at my appication soon.

Can someone tell me what TX SESA does with my application? When do they forward it to Federal LC office? Do I get a new priority date when they do this? What do the Federal LC folks do with my app?

    Thanks,
    -Navin.

Guys are there any new approval for rir category in regional dallas? Please post the updates.

    Texas LC

spb999: you had asked if my case was EB2 - yes. Also, there were two different RFEs that we had to respond to. One for a layoff in April, the RFE came in June. Then another layoff in June, and the RFE came in September. Very lucky to get this case through. Also still lucky to be employed. Hopefully now will finish my 140 and consular processing before another layoff/shutdown event.

Its good to see this thread

Finally, we have a thread for TXDOL. Thanks. I am also waiting on TXDOL under EB2 RIR. The case was sent to DOL in March 2002, got NOF in July 2002 and replied back in August 2002. I have not heard anything so far. Recently they have also take OFF the automated phone system , so basically I don't know how to get the status back from DOL? I dont know either if they are replying to the emails?

    DOL still on 12/2002

I have been watching for the past 4 months that the texas DOL has not moved its processing time ahead - its still shows as 12/2002..What's up with that ???

  17. #17

    Reply from DOL

I called them yesterday (05/18/04) and they are processing Jan 2003 cases now..Its a long way to go..

  18. #18

date ahead of what is shown

i called up my lawyer yesterday to figure out the DOL dates. The lawyers told me that even if some officers are processing 12/2002 and 1/2003 cases, the date shown on the website is not advanced. So, let's hope that some of them are processing cases much beyond 1.2003..

    Dallas BRC number

    Hi guys,
I called the DOL Dallas yesterday and was told that the "BRC" has moved to a new building. The number to the BRC is 214-237-9111, they will not give any info to petitioners. Have the attorney or your employer call them, and then please share the info .
I have given the number to my attorney and am waiting for them to call the BRC.
    Thanks.

    To RIRhouston,

Great job! So DOL dallas and BRC are complete seperate entities?

  21. #21
I am inclined to think so, I am sure all of us read the news item about the appointment of a NCO for Dallas and Philadelphia. So they have to have a different command.
This is all my speculation, till we dont hear of any latest approvals, I guess your guess is as good as mine.

Any latest news on Dallas DOL BRC ?

    Please advice (ca or tx)

I work in dallas- tx with well established company. I'm getting STATE
APPROVED labor (NON-RIR) from my company. and at the same time i have
offer from very well established company in california and they will be
filing my labor under RIR. My question 1. Should i stay here in dallas
and accept state approved (NON-RIR) labor? or start new labor(RIR) in
    california from scratch.

If i accept NON-RIR approved labor in dallas. Will the regional clear in
2-3 yrs (the current regional processing dates are Mar 2000) HOW MUCH
TIME SHOULD I EXPECT FROM Dallas backlog center? Please advise
    .

    Thanks in advance

    Calling the DOL

    Gents,
In good measure lets keep our calling the DOL to a minimum.
Please read the posts on the Philly DOL forum, they are quite upto date on the info. Especially the post about the information from the ALA. If you look up that PDF most of the questions here will be answered as it refers to the BEC/BRC.
    My 2 cents.
    Thanks

    what is priority day?

As my understanding, priority date is the date SWA or TWC received the labor application...right?

but in DOL database, all the LC applications' date received by state in DALLAS REGION (case number started with '06') are only 2 or 3 days before date received by Region? does that means our priority date will be that day?????? that will be horrible!!!!!!! they are killing/eliminating months when our files were lying in TWC or SWA.... this kind of situation only happened in Dallas region, not in other regions....

also, the former Dallas LC officer will be the director of Dallas BEC, do your guys think he will be really generous to us, based on his slowest processing time in Dallas for past 2 years??????????

    anyone can answer me?

    Priority date

I thought Priority date is the date, when applicaton received by state.

This is really strange to find out that the R_SO(Date, application received by state ) is just 2-3 days before R_RO (Date, application received by regional ). I really don't understand this. The priority date is very important.

Does anybody have any ideas on this ?

    Question

    Hi ,

Thought I'll post here my query:

    http://www.immigrationportal.com/sho...d.php?t=222096

Well, my labor has been applied on Non-RIR, EB2 category during April 2004 with State of Ohio - Dept of Labor. Then we recd the case number and receipt of the same by May 2004. My employer was told last month that my labor certification case has been moved to Dallas backlog center. Is there a way I can check online the status of my labor certification?

    Thanks.

    Labor from Dallas backlog center

I have filed my GC through my company on APR 2004 which is currently in Dallas Backlog center. I have not received 45 days letter and how can I find where my case is or what date is being processed at dallas.

I'm in Oklahoma so my case is probably in Dallas Backlog center as well. My PD is April 2004 too. I haven't received 45-day letter either. But my lawyer just told me that she received an email from DOL saying that there will be no need to send the 45-day letter since the case has been confirmed active. I'm not sure how reliable this is. But what else can I do? I have been email-bombing my lawyer for quite a while. She said the next step is to wait for the recruiment notice ----I'm non-RIR, EB2. Don't know when...

    I'm keeping my fingers crossed....
