kashmir, I have contacted news paper editor "India West" in this area and guy said that his reporter may not have time tomorrow morining to come but he strongly urged to have photographs alongwith congressman ,press release statement i.e. questions ,annwers , Congressmans reply and fax him . And he told me to call on Monday once we fax them .

I request you pls bring camera and other stuff we will get this done . I will also bring my camera in case something goes wrong with one ,other will be helpful.

It's great !!

By the way, I have only an old digital camera maybe with 1M pixel.
I may buy an instant camera.
I am not sure which is better, digital or film ?

I am preparing:
1) 2 sets of Litigation related documents
2) 2 sets of Petition and List of Signature (4,130)
and
3) 50 of 1-page pamphlets.

For 3) pamphlet, as you know, I am not a good writer,
so if you have a good one, please post yours.

I completed preparation.
1) It includes:
- COMPLAINT FOR MANDAMUS, DECLARATORY AND INJUNCTIVE RELIEF - December 22, 2003
- Settlement Proposal on Behalf of the Plaintiff - February 27, 2004
- PLAINTIFFS' MOTION FOR CERTIFICATION OF CLASS ACTION - March 10, 2004
2) I will bring just one set because it has too many pages.
3) It covers:
- Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against the US Immigration Service challenging Delays Contrary to Congressional Mandate
- I-485 Process Performance Problem Only at the California Service Center (CSC) !?
4) 10 Copies of Don Neufeld's Letter
5) My Letter to Congressman

I went there with my boy. But the congressman didn't show up
because of stomach sickness. Saw a few who might be our
people, but not quite sure. I left with a couple of comments
cards.

Probably I was chicken and should have stayed. Shall I stay next
time in such case?

try to introduce yourself in such an event. We all were unknown to each other till few months before meeting but now are wellknown to each other . Next meeting is on Apr 17 so try to be early atleast 10 - 15 minutes or catch the people and introduce .

I attended Pete Statk's March townhall meeting also, in which the congressman didn't show up. Anyway, I left 2 messages there. Yesterday, April 26th, I received a letter from Pete Stark dated on April 13th.

One encouraging thing is the letter seems really drafted for me only. I asked if Bush considered H-4 in his guest worker proposal. In the letter, he simply answered no, and he showed strong disaaproval of Bush's proposal. Regarding backlogs, he blowed me off by saying it's due to integration into DHS, security, and he will continue to support blah blah.

I encourage people to attend townhall meeting to pass your voice. It is really a good way to get your voice heared.
