How long can you stay abroad with an AP ?

I was thinking about that and I tried to find the answer over the FAQ and over the I-131 form, but i couldnt. Does anybody knows how long can i stay out of the USA with an AP? Thanks for the help...

of the AP, but you need a strong reason to be away from US, especially when you want to be a PR. Anything above 3 months will raise enquiry at the POE and anything above 6 months might cause problems . This is as expressed by an officer at POE while answering an AP holder\'s question about length of stay and not a legal or INS approved opinion.

Thanks for your help! I want to know wheter is safe or not to stay 3 months abroad with an AP.If not, please, tell me how many months or weeks I can spend abroad.
