Texas latest Processing Time

Folks,
Not a very encouraging news on processing times (Updated 01/31/2004). The new dates for I-140 have moved by 3 damn days...

3 days, it is too slow. But I'm still glad to see it's moving, better than hanging there for a couple of months.

There was some talk that once H1 quota is over, the team would be diverted to Green Card Processing related activities.

Lets hope for the best.

I have just received DOL labor approval. My wife wants to travel abroad in 3 months and be back in 3 months time. I was planning on filing just 485/140 and delay ead/ap till her return. Lawyer also advised travelling on her h4visa with a 485 receipt in tow.
Does anyone have any idea if this is how its done.

There have been numerous discussion on this topic in this forum.

In brief - apply for 140, 485 & EAD but do not apply AP. Once you get the 485 receipt of your wife, she can travel outside with the receipt and H4 visa stamp. While coming back at the entry point she needs to show both the H4 visa and 485 receipt. If she does not show the receipt, the 485 application would be considered abandoned for her. my next question would be can my wife apply for a new H4 visa while in india with her 485 receipt in hand. She is on H1 but the job is not panning out and H4 seems simpler to enter country back.

I just got my Labor approved from US DOL - Atlanta, Georgia after 2 years 10 months of waiting for LC.

Please suggest regarding I-140 filing.

option-1 : file I-140 and I-485 concurrent filing

option-2 : file I-140 and file I-485 along with I-140 reciept (semi-concurrent)

Please suggest with respect to current processing pattern speeds.

Here are the processing months for different centers:

NEBRASKA..May
VERMONT...Mar
CALFRN......Mar
TEXAS........Feb

Texas moved by 7 days in the last 90 days.

With H1 cap reached, hopefully there would be progress now.
