adjust20,
Its more of an observation then research.
I observed that USCIS is working on 485's on a range of dates like a "window" and if your 140 is approved when your receipt date is within the window of dates then there is highest probability that your case would be touched [and if there is...
Approval
Atlast approval.
Got the welcome email just few minutes ago!
I did a lil' bit research on 140 PP and I think upgrading PP really helped my case. I mean faster approval of 485.
Anyway good luck to you all.
Most of my friends are applying for Citizenship and becasue of f**ked up...
Help to clarify the notice from NSC
Guys, I just got the following information from the website.
This is my first AP.
Can anyone explain if there is anything wrong with that notice?
I mean why it says "Document OTHER THAN CARD"?
and why it says based on earlier approval?
Should I expect...
"Receipt" date not the "Received" date that counts
Do not count on Received date.
Receipt Date is "Notice Receipt Date" which counts.
Yes NSC is atleast 3+ weeks delayed in Response but unfortunately that delayed date is THE date.
Receipt Notice Date is the key.
NSC is working on the applications based on Notice date [not received date]. If you check trackitt.com and sort it based on Receipt Notice date you will see the trend. Its pretty clear.
My RD is 9/27 but ND is 10/19..... so I am expecting I will be the next...lol
I saw some of you have LIN # starts with 07-XXX as is mine. So I do not think LIN is formated as YYDDD.
Don't you think? Or is there any other explanation.

I sent my applications on 9/25/06. Still no receipt.
People are getting the Receipt within 5/6 weeks. So it would be atleast 5 weeks. But if your case is tranferred to TSC from NSC then you might get it faster.
Ead/ap??
What happened to you EAD/AP? I thought you could go anywhere with those in hand. Why do you still need H1B? Or may be you did not get your EAD card?
